How do the Gold Speaking Practice Breakout Rooms work?

You can watch the video here to see how they work, and read the instructions below.
The Speaking Practice Rooms are open everyday so you can practise daily.
Each day there is a different topic.
There are sessions at 5 different times in the day, so wherever you live, there should be suitable times available.
Some sessions are one-on-one (you and one other student), others are small groups of students.
There is no teacher, so the focus is on communication to build fluency, rather than getting direct feedback.
How the Sessions Work
When you begin, the software will automatically put you in a room with other people.
- One speaking session usually lasts 20 minutes, so there are 3 x 20 minute sessions.
- There are some IELTS questions in the room to guide you.
- After each 20 minutes you will automatically be moved to a new group with new people.
You can stay for all 3 sessions or just participate in 1 or 2 sessions.
Speed Network Sessions (Wednesdays Only)
This is a chance to meet other students one-on-one and also ideal if you are looking for a speaking partner.
When you begin, the website will automatically put you in a room with 1 other person.
Each session lasts just 10 minutes, so there are 6 sessions.
There are some 'get-to-know-you' questions to guide you.
